Because our coolers are not just for keeping drinks cold, they\u2019re the centerpiece of fun for ALL! We are, and have always been, The Cooler Brand.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-image-row__heading h3 mb-20 font-sans\">Our Cooler Story\u00a0<\/h3>\n<p>We started out in 1947 making steel water jugs for oil field workers, but it wasn\u2019t long before we started getting even cooler. Most know us for inventing the Playmate \u2014 our world-famous cooler released in 1971. This engineering icon has such a distinct, revolutionary design (we\u2019re good at thinking outside the \u201cicebox\u201d), it\u2019s on display at the Smithsonian! Through many other innovations over the decades \u2014 the first plastic cooler in the \u201860s, the first wheeled cooler (1994), the first hardside coolers made from recycled plastic (2021) and many more in between \u2014 we became the go-to brand for consumers around the world who work hard and play harder.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-image-row__heading h3 mb-20 font-sans\">Creating Cooler Moments\u00a0<\/h3>\n<p>We go ALL in on fun and creating products that are practical, durable, versatile and stylish.
